Yes, I am a blog surfer!

I was just surfing blogs the other day and passed by one that really caught my eye. The author of the blog is what seems to be a very nice person. She has posted some blogs about what her family is doing and how school is going for her. Well, on one of her posts there was a comment from some unknown person. So this girl goes and click on the link to see who is posting a comment and finds this:

"I am just so darn frustrated, i needed to splurge. and i guess my blog is going to do it.... okay, so im not the smartest, most educated person in the world. but this election has bugged me enough to start reading..."
This demonstration of a sincere fight for intellectual excellence (some people don't start reading ever) is why so many non-mormons associate mormons with a deep abiding commitment to education. I totally agree. Stupid people are just so uggh. Why don't they read a book, or at least a New Era article.

I read this blog after reading your post, and now i'm just trying to pretend it doesn't exist. The part that gets me is that there are SO many just like it, Mormon girls wrapped up so tightly in their own little happy world, ugh!

Now I am all for people voicing their opinion but please use some tact!
I just read this last week and I was really frustrated with people not being kind to each other. Now I don't know this girl at all but she seemed to be a really talented person. She is just enjoying her life with her husband!

5. Do you like eggnog? Not so much! I really just get really nauseous just thinking about it!!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? My mom would get my sis and me disney snow globes every year!! The best part is Michael has kept this tradition alive!! He is so cute I got a Beauty and the beast snow globe from him and it's amazing!!
7. Hardest person to buy for? Michael! He will never tell me what he want. It's ok I get ideas but still the hardest person for me!
8. Easiest person to buy for? My mom she tells me what she wants!! oh but she use to be the hardest one!! she would always just buy what she wanted and wrap it and give it to herself!! haha she is unique!!!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I can't think of one! I think that it's the thought that counts and I have never received an unthoughtful gift
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? rudolph the red nose reindeer (the old cartoon) I really really like that one and was trying to get michael to buy it for me for christmas! This question reminds me of my little sis (hailey) when she was younger and every time she would come over to visit my pops she would want to watch the cartoon grinch movie. It didn't matter if it was the 4th of july or halloween we finally had to hid the movie till christmas time.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Well Michael and I went shopping the day after thanksgiving and had so much fun together and are planning on doing it every year.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yeah but just like an unopened bottle of pop.
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? I love that there is a lot of mashed potatoes around this time!
16. Lights on the tree? I love the lights!!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? We stay in utah but travel all over the valley

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I love everything about this time of year! I love that everyone is more thoughtful, caring, giving and all around nicer people.
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I loved our christmas tree the last few years it was blue,silver and white. ( you would think we were byu fans!) But this year we tried the multi-colored lights and ornaments and I am liking blue better. Our tree still looks great!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? I really would love for everyone to have something to eat and have a warm place to stay! I know I sound really cheesy but I was just talking to Michael about this just this morning! I don't like to see people hurting! I am a wussy I was listening to the radio this morning and they were doing a secret santa for someone and I was getting all teary eyed just listening to this women getting helped by other people! I love to do the 12 days of christmas for people. Last year Michael and I did our next store neighbors hahaha that was pretty funny! Michael and I weren't that sneeky but sure thought we were.
26. Do you decorate the outside of your house with lights? I sure do we even have christmas light bells that I have in our kitchen. I will take a picture after finals this week :)27. Outside lights Icicles, Colored, or Clear? We have colored and a big snowman!

Here is what has happened the past few weeks

Michael's Cousin Sarah Britt came in to town for Thanksgiving. She is from Arizona and is a very funny,crazy and cool person as you can tell from the picture!!
The Tanner Family had their turkey day on the 22nd instead of the 27th so that everyone could make it and just relax. I loved it!!
Brandon Tanner Lay was born on November 11, 2008 yahoo!! And he already knows what team is the best!! You can tell he is going to be a very smart man!!
Michael and I went to the Uofu vs BYU game and yep that is right the Utes won!!! That was an amazing game!!!!

Here is Amber and Brian at the turkey dinner they are sure a cute couple with 3 amazing kids!!!

Michael and I also went to my dads, moms and Michael's moms for Thanksgiving but I forgot the camera.. Dank it !! I really wanted to take a picture of everyone!! We also went and saw the Twilight Movie!! I thought it was a great show but still love the books!!

6 non-important things about me:
1. I love to help people out...like help them move or help them clean their house...even help then do their dishes
2-I don't really like to clean my own house!! it seems to take me forever!! I will start on the kitchen..then I will have to take something into the computer room and end up cleaning in there...then I will go to throw something away in the kitchen and start back on the kitchen and this cycle goes on for a very long time.
3-I love to play hide and seek and I am 23!! Michael will be walking around the house to make sure all the lights are off and while he is doing this I am trying to find a good hiding place. He seems to always find me though... I'm just can fit in to those smaller spaces like I was once able to.
4-I was told that I look onry when I am nervous so I am trying to find ways to look like I am nervous.
5-I bite my lip when I am thinking about something
6- I had a friend in high school who had a punching bag... we just got done watching a really cool action packed movie and told him that it really isn't that hard to run, jump and kick someone...so I ran and kicked the punching bag but landed on my back really hard...he was laughing and asked what happened?? I thought you said it wasn't that hard to do!! I told him it's not that hard I just forgot to put my legs back down...total blonde moment

So Michael dips me in his arms and says"I can do better than that" and trust me when I say he sure did!!!
5.Where did you go for your first date?Ridizo Grill we couldn't even hear each other talk haha it sure worked with 2 shy people!

7.How did he ask you out? My mom told him that I saw his picture and thought he was hot and gave him my number. So he called me and asked if I wanted to come and meet him at the races to meet and then go out on a date the next day.

Embarrassing Moment

So when you start a new job or someone is trying to get to know you, they will sometimes ask "What is your most embarrassing moment?" Well before today I would have to say me going down the river in Lava Hot Springs(might blog about another time). Well I would have to say today topped a lot of embarrassing moments(not all). I work at Primary Children's Hospital, in the Ears, Nose and Throat Department. Well how it is set up we have the clinic rooms, the bathroom and then our work space. Well I really had to go to the bathroom but saw that there was someone in there so I had to wait. Well when I finally got in there it stunk so bad that there was NO way I would be able to sit in the bathroom to pee. So I went and got some air freshener to go and spray in there. I was going to spray and then wait for it to air out. Well, when I got in there, after I sprayed it down I decided that it smells ok and I could handle it. So I started to urinate. I was almost done when........I hear a knock on the door and the door handle start to move. I said yes but it was to late that damage was done. Dr. Park walked in on me going to the bathroom. Luckily I was wearing a dress and he didn't see to much of the goods!! He hurried and closed that door and I could hear him saying "We need to put a sign up!" I hurried and started to wash my hands. I waited about 5 minutes to let me face go back to it's natural color, took a deep breath and opened the door. Oh was I sure glad that he was in a room seeing a patient. When I got into our office I shut the door and told Annette about the whole thing. She just started to laugh and tell me I just made her day. Well Kelly comes in and started to laugh and say that as soon as Dr. Park closed the door he darted into the patients room. The funniest part about this is that Dr. Park comes in to ask for some help and just can't seem to look at me!! hahahaha I think he is more embarrassed tnem me!!! hahahahaha oh me and the girls were laughing to hard I was crying. I wanted to also say that I alwas lock the door when I go to the bathroom but must have had to pee really bad and forgot to.

Economy

So over the past few months I have had this urge to get my food storage up and running. Looking at all the news lately, it has been a good thing I have started. Though we are not to were we would like to be, it's a start. Here is a recent new article that talks about the recent "Bailout"

When Michael told me that the market dropped 700ish points, I played it off saying that the majority of stock holders are european anyways. Now I realize that was a very nieve thing to say. One of the girls (Annette) from work has a brother that owns an international company. He said a few years ago that most countries are frightened about the u.s economy. Well that is what has been on my mind lately!!

Yesterday Michael and I went over to Richards house and had some fun hanging out with the family and fixing the brakes. I was having probably the most fun though............ hahahaha I told Richard(Michael's Pops) that I would post these hahahahaha


Michael wanted to get back at me for video taping him so much yesterday. So here is one of me!!! ha it's really short!! hahahahahahahaa I actually don't think this one is that bad. I have a lot of video from yesterday but looking over it I decided that it's not that good you can hear me talking in the background....and yep I sound dead sexy hahahahaha jk

Here we are yesterday driving home from Lava Hot springs. So we had a good time driving home. I was taking picta and singing to ace of base at the top of my lungs and laughing with Michael. The trip there and home did not seem like it was that long.not a good picta!! but michael won't let me post any of him.. I am trying to help him see that it's not that bad. If I can post this picta then it's not that bad and oh man!! sorry but I look like I am on drugs and nope that is just me!! oh so sad!! now I have to find a good picta to hopefully give me back some dignity!!!

Ok so here it is!!! When Michael and I went down to Lake Powell, my little bro, bradin would sing this "I kissed a girl and I liked it song" so of course I got the song stuck in my head and really wanted to hear the song when I got back. Well, this song is song by a girl!! I still like the song though... I think the singer has a really good voice!! ok ok on with my story..... so I heard another one of her songs today and wanted to hear it again to I went to her website and checked it out. On the website the singer has a blog. On the blog she had this picture!! hahahaha I thought it was pretty funny!!

The U Game

So we went to the U vs. UNLV game ( I think it's UNVL?). It was a pretty good game I thought but we didn't end up staying for the whole thing because I got michael sick. Poor thing!:(
Michael was bound and determined to stay threw the whole thing if I wanted to. But I didn't want to torture him!! I really do love him!! When we left the score was 14 to 14. I think michael would have to agree with me..... the best part of that night was the walk back to the car!! just me and him!!
