Life with the Tanners

The past few months have been fun but really busy. Here are a few highlights:

* Michael and I went on a family trip with Michael's family to Disneyland. Yes, that makes two trips this year. What can I say I just love Disneyland! We rode all the rides including "it's a small world" my all time favorite. I will have to explain a why on another post.

* We have been going to the University of Utah games. Go Utes! The last quarter of the BYU vs UTAH games was the best part of the game.

* We thought that we would try something a little different this year for Thanksgiving. There are just to many families that we have to go to and just not enough time. So we tried just going to one parents house a year. My dad had asked us to come to his house clear back in July or June ( I really can't remember). Can I just say that is the way to go. We actually get to spend time with them.

* I am getting ready to finish my finals for this semester. Yahoo! I just did my first EVER presentation. I was so nervous that I thought that I was going to forget how to read. But I did it!

Okay I have to get to studying. Sorry so short.

The Jungle Book The Bare Necessities

Michael and I were at church and Michael REALLY I mean REALLY needed his back scratched. Well, I wasn't doing that good of a job so he went out to the hall to find a nice corner to scratch it. Well one of our neighbors came out while he was doing this and gave him a weird look. When Michael was done he came back and sat with me with his face a little red. He told me what had happened and I couldn't stop laughing. I told him that it reminded me of this little clip. HEHEHE I guess you had to be there! HEHEHEHE

Big Mean Red Truck

I had an emotional drive on redwood road, just as I was driving home from school If most don't already know, I DRIVE THE SPEED LIMIT. That has always been the case, even as a teenager.

Well, I am driving on my way to get groceries after school and I am minding my own business (also going the speed limit). When this Big Red Dodge truck drives by me and flips me off. It wasn't a short flipping off but one where her finger was still going at least two houses in front of me.

(I am normally not emotional about these things) This BIG MEAN TRUCK, brought tears to my eyes and really hurt my feel bads. Sad thing is that I felt so bad and didn't want to make anyone else mad that I think when I went to Smiths I didn't get as many discounts as I should have because I didn't want to go back in and cause any issues.

REALLY??? I'd say I am having a really weird emotional day! eerrrggggg!

Happy Birthday America!

I just wanted to say that I am really proud to be an American. There are so many things I know I take for granted but I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Thanks to the old guys, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Samuel Adams, etc. You fella's did a lot for this country and I hope that we all can continue to make it a GREAT place to live!!

To Molly

Molly,

I would LOVE to do the 1/2 marathon with you guys! The only issue that is standing in my way is I haven't started to run. I think I may not have time to be up to speed.

What do you think? Do I have time? if not I will definitely do it with you guys next year. (no flaking)

I was so excited when I read that you wanted me to run with you, that I told my mom and she was going to go down and be my cheerleader.

If I don't do it this time we'll still have to come down and see you.

Love you tonz!

Dana

uurrrrrrggg!!!

Right now I am looking on the internet for cars. (I bet you are jealous)
This is not my favorite thing to do. We went to a lot of dealerships yesterday and let me just say I was a cranky old lady by the end of the day. I understand it is their job to sell but I think (tip for sells people) that you don't have to be so pushy! and if you give me a good deal, don't screw me and seem like a nice person I will come back.

Lazy

This weekend was GREAT! Michael and I just stayed at home for the majority of it. It may not sound that great to anyone else. I got to thinking and we haven't done that in awhile. I needed me some Michael time.

Love, me

Wednesday

So on Wednesday, I had to work and go to school. Well, after school I was REALLY stressed because I have my practical exam for my anatomy class right after we get back from California. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to study while I was there but now I will ( not the end of the world).
Michael, says to me when I first walk in the door, " I'll give you one of your birthday presents early if you can find it". I told him that it's not my birthday yet. I told him that he should find it for me. (hehehe) So he gets all excited and shows me this great touch screen video camera. He is to cute! I have been wanting a video camera for a while now. I love pictures but for me the picture doesn't always capture the full affect of the scene. Yahoo for me!!

I do have to make a quick note though:

WARNING: SOME IF YOU MIGHT GET ANNOYED WITH ME AND MY VIDEO CAMERA.

Venting (Read from bottom to top)

I am so just venting right now!!! Urrrggg! I don’t FEEL that I need to go to these stupid meetings! And I don’t FEEL like I am the KEY person. When I go to these meetings and voice my opinion everyone just laughs at me ( and I am not that funny). I had even just voiced that the Riverton clinics seem to be running good for our doctors and there we go “Chuckles” laugh it up. GGRRRRRR!! I’ve gone for all but the last few and there has been NOTHING that is pertaining to me. Then all of the sudden when I am not there the U clinic starts to say that they would like me to not schedule the select health insurance over there. Why don’t they say that when I am there. I think that they are scared of me!!

Dana,

I think you are key person in the coordination of PCMC and UU ENT clinics. I think you should go to the ENT staff meetings if you can. Can you start the phones at 830am instead? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

From: Dana TannerSent: Tuesday, February 02, 2010 11:37 AMTo: Albert ParkSubject: RE: clinic staff meeting

I have started the phones at 8am instead of 830am so it is a little hard for me to go. When going to those meetings I come back and have a lot of phone calls to return. I have asked if Crystal will take my place and let me know if there is anything that pertains to scheduling. I am sorry for not communicating that earlier. I was under the impression that as long as 2 people came from PCMC we were ok.

Dana and Stacey,

I noticed that you were not at the clinic staff meeting. Did I miss you? If not, please try to attend as much as possible. I think it is important for communication etc... Thanks.

It's almost friday!

All I can say is YAHOO!! Can you feel my excitement!

It's funny because I actually have butterflies in my stomach. If I had a camera with me I would definately show you the excitement I have. Instead you will just have to picture me and my cheesy, cheesy smile, clapping my hands a little and doing the Chandler dance!!(hehehe)

Those crazy Tanners!

On Saturday, Michael and I went to this restaurant by our house. There, we saw these two guys following us in with there motorcycle helmets on. We just had to ask them if they really were riding their motorcycles today?
Come to find out, they sure were. I, at first, thought that they were crazy! But after listening to them talk, I realized that I missed riding on ours. So after talking to them for a little bit, Michael and I decided that we were going to ride. We got all bundled up, warmed up the bike for a little bit and went for a 20 min ride.
Oh how it felt so good! I miss that freedom. There is nothing like it. I was of course freezing my little tushy off but it was well worth it!

Say Hello to the itch

Well hello!
I am just sitting here at work, thinking to myself, and I thought that I should post something on my blog.

Here it is......

This last weekend, starting on early Saturday morning, I had hives all over my body. It first started with my head and sides itching REALLY bad. I just thought that my skin was just dry because of it being so cold or something. So I got up at 230ish in the morning and took a bath. While taking a bath I noticed I had a nice looking spider bite on my wrist ( or so I thought).
I sat in the bath for about an hour till the water got nice and cold. As soon as I got out, my body still was very itchy. By then I was feeling a little like a crack head because I was itching so much. I was wondering what I could do until Michael woke up, like lotion or something. Finally, I remembered that there was some calomine lotion we had when Michael had hives from riding a horse. Yahoo for me!! I was caking on that stuff like you couldn't believe.

Come 7am I couldn't wait for Michael to wake up (just a side note, I didn't want to wake him because I wanted him to have a good sleep, even if I couldn't. He was a little mad that I didn't wake him up though.) so I woke him up to see if he would go and get me some benadryl.

By the time he got back I was showing him my sides and I told him that I thought I got bit by a spider and that was way I might have been itching ( i know, not smart thinking). He looks at it and tells me I have hives all over my neck, head and that on my wrist was one too. Michael was insisting on taking me to the instacare but of course I didn't want to.

I went to the instacare finally! There we found out I had an allergic reaction to an antibiotic I was taking. The problem was that on Sunday my rash was getting worse so I ended up going to my pcp and getting on a stronger dose of the prescription.

Wow what a fun weekend! Just teasing it really was something I will try to avoid in the future.
